ERAWATCH country reports 2011: Iceland

The main objective of the ERAWATCH Annual Country Reports is to characterise and assess the performance of national research systems and related policies in a structured manner that is comparable across countries. The 2011 country reports assess the evolution on the national R&D investments targets, the efficiency and effectiveness of national policies and investments into R&D, the articulation between education, research and innovation, with an increased focus on the last two in terms of their wider governance and policy mix. The reports for EU MS and AS integrates in the assessment the evolution of the national policy mixes in the perspective of the Europe 2020 Strategy goals and on the realisation and better governance of ERA.JRC.J.2-Knowledge for Growt

Praktisk øving i tannhelseutdanningene i Norge: En sammenligning av ulike studiemodeller

Ofte antar man at samme studium, kanskje særlig innenfor profesjonsstudiene, utdanner «like» yrkesutøvere uavhengig av utdanningssted. I denne rapporten gjør vi et dypdykk inn i tannhelsefeltet for å se på hvordan forskjeller i organisering av praktisk trening i utdanningene (ekstern veiledet praksis, intern klinikk og ferdighetstrening) både gir utdanninger med svært forskjellige profiler og er basert på at utdanningene skal ha forskjellige profiler

Innovasjon Norge – noen utfordringer

Bakgrunnen for det foreliggende arbeidet er et behov ved NIFU STEP for å utvikle bedre kunnskap om Innovasjon Norge, og det er gjennomført et mindre internt finansiert prosjekt der noen sider ved Innovasjon Norge har blitt gjennomgått og skrevet ut i denne rapporten. I rapporten er det særlig lagt vekt på beskrive Innovasjon Norges rolle i det norske innovasjonssystemet og å analysere i hvilken grad innovasjonsdimensjonen er ivaretatt i selskapets forvaltning av virkemidlene. Som et ledd i dette er også målet og de politiske føringene for Innovasjon Norge gjennomgått, og det er gitt en kort beskrivelse av selskapets tjenesteportefølje

Foreign takeovers in the Nordic countries (FOTON)

Like domestic owned multinational companies, foreign owned multinational companies represent equally positive opportunities for Nordic trade and industry, both in terms of innovative capabilities and value creation. There are no apparent reasons for leading a different policy towards companies with foreign ownership. The governments in the Nordic countries should encourage initiatives that attract this type of companies. Foreign owned multinationals take part in international networks that might benefit other firms in the national innovation system
